Learn the basics of electrical and computer engineering as you create your own “Thinking of you light” that connects to your phone, no matter how far from the light you are! In this technical workshop, you’ll learn how to set up an IoT button on your phone, code, and wire a Wi-Fi-connected microcontroller to create a beautiful light that reminds loved ones that you are thinking of them. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! You will be guided through every technical step, explained in a friendly and practical way with clear instructions from start to finish. Once your light is assembled, personalize it with a variety of provided decorative materials to create a unique design that reflects your style and message. This workshop is best for teens and adults. Younger participants are welcome with a hands-on helper to assist with app setup, coding, wiring, and small components.
