Thinking of You Light

About this session

Create a meaningful light that can remind someone you love that you are thinking of them. We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the Internet of Things by creating a cloud-connected button on a phone. Then we’ll upload simple instructions to a tiny computer connected to an LED light, allowing the light to respond when the button is pressed. After that, we’ll assemble the hardware system and see how the pieces work together. We’ll finish the workshop with a slower, creative part: decorating the light and turning the technical project into a keepsake. No coding or electronics experience is required. The technical steps will be guided, and the goal is to make technology feel approachable and understandable.
